Introduction
The purpose of this page is to highlight any improvements, changes or updates made live within the issosmart™ system.
9th June 2026
Users can now add notes or comments when uploading or replacing a document version.

16th December 2025
Added the option to schedule maintenance every 4 months.

File paths will now be displayed in the search results for folders and documents.
All registers can now be exported in both PDF and CSV format.

You can now unarchive previously archived items.
MFA has now been released for additional security. This will be required for ISO 27001 or Cyber Essentials. You find instructions on how to activate MFA here.

We have launched the all new management review module allowing you to populate your management review minutes with data directly from the system with a click of a button. (Enterprise Plan Only)

Added the ability to move files between folders without having to delete and re-upload.

Added the ability to send questionnaires to old suppliers for systems which upgraded from Starter plan. (Professional & Enterprise Plan Only)
Re-arranged the headings so that the risk is the leading column rather than the asset. This allows for 1 risk entry which can then be linked to several assets, rather than having several individual assets listed with the same risk.

Allow users to select which countries apply to them which brings through relevant legislation.
We have made the status field a dropdown field for increased usability.
Removed the field “location” from IT Risk Register.

New treatment options have been added to the register.
A new register has been developed in order to track assets. This will be available for all systems which contain ISO 27001.
You can now view the 2022 version of the statement of applicability.
We have swapped the tabs “Audits currently in progress” and “Audits not yet started” around so they appear in a chronological order.

- Added a new table displaying outstanding supplier tasks, including review dates
- Audit Schedule table now includes audit status information for improved visibility of progress

Staff members on the matrix export are now hyperlinked to their record within issosmart.
You now have the ability to create audit checklists and perform audits directly in the system. This provides the ability to walk around with a tablet and take pictures. Any observations or non-conformances will automatically raise an improvement record on the improvement register. Audits and improvement reports will also be linked for full audit trail.
You can now manage your suppliers directly within the system. Create your own supplier questionnaire, including file upload options and expiry date fields, and send them via email. Suppliers will receive a link to upload and answer questions, which you can then review and approve. You will also be notified of anything expiring or requiring review.

The system has been brought up to date with modern styling, sporting a great new look improving usability.
9th October 2023
Subfolders will now inherit permissions from their parent folder.
4th September 2023
Permissions have now been extended to folders within the system. A further update will follow so subfolders will inherit permissions from their parent folder.
17th July 2023
Users will now experience a cleaner interface with more focus on the main content. The left hand side nav menu is collapsed by default.
You are now no longer required to switch between edit and live mode. You will automatically be in edit mode if you have edit access.
Master administrators can now manage users within their own system. You no longer have to go through the support team to add or remove users.
The system can now be restricted for certain users via groups. When setting restrictions, you can set whether access is read only or editable. This applies to all folders, registers and files.
22nd May 2023
The first phase of the user interface update has now gone live. You can now select other organisations via a dropdown in the top left. You will also now find a user icon in the top right. Here you will find “switch to edit access” and in future will be able to control the administration of your account and systems.
There is now a section for custom legal items separate to the main legal register.

All registers now have an issue date which is editable and updates when there has been a revision.
10th October 2022
Items have been grouped into one listing rather than individual listings. A “view history” button has been added. This is to reduce the length of the lists.
What’s included
- Audit numbers are now only assigned once an audit has commenced
- Audits are now grouped into three categories:
- Audits Not Yet Started
- Audits In Progress
- Completed Audits
- Recurring audits created using the “Create Next Audit” option will now schedule 12 months from the original planned start date, rather than the completion date

Risk treatment has now been added with the options: Accept, Avoid, Maintain and Modify & Share

- Added a new Select All function to simplify removal of non-applicable sections

Archive button has been added to skills on each individuals training records.
You can now add links to external sources such as sharepoint files.
Multiple departments can now be selected when creating/editing a training skill.
Customer satisfaction report can now be changed between numerous feedback questionnaires via a dropdown box.
